These steps solve most issues quickly:

  1. Update the App — Install the latest version from the App Store.
  2. Restart your iPhone — Fixes many temporary glitches.
  3. Check permissions — Go to Settings → StorePing and confirm Camera, Location, Notifications, Siri, and Speech are enabled for the features you use.
  4. Sign in to iCloud — Required for household/family sharing features.
  5. Restore purchases — Open StorePing → tap the crown → Restore Purchases if Pro features aren't unlocked.

What is StorePing?

StorePing is a smart shopping app by DropDollar, LLC. Compare prices, manage shopping lists and pantry inventory, scan barcodes and receipts, find deals near you, plan meals, and track savings—with quests, widgets, and Siri shortcuts built in.

Is StorePing free?

Yes. StorePing is free to download with daily limits on some features (price search, Near Me, and scans). StorePing Pro unlocks unlimited usage and premium features through an optional subscription.

How do I upgrade to StorePing Pro?

Tap the crown icon at the top of the App and choose a monthly or yearly plan. Payment is handled securely through your Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your Apple ID name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select StorePing Pro
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.

How do I restore my Pro subscription?

Open StorePing → tap the crown → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Why isn't location or geofencing working?

  • Enable Location for StorePing in Settings
  • For background store alerts, choose Always (if you use geofencing)
  • Save stores in the App first
  • Geofencing is a Pro feature
  • Alerts are generated on your device from your saved stores, inventory, and deals.

Why didn't my receipt or barcode scan work?

  • Allow Camera access in Settings
  • Use good lighting and hold the camera steady
  • Free users have daily scan limits; upgrade to Pro for unlimited scans

How does family sharing work?

StorePing Pro includes household sharing through iCloud. Sign in to iCloud on all devices, enable family sharing in the App, and invite members through Apple's sharing flow. We do not operate a separate DropDollar account system.

How do Siri shortcuts work?

Try phrases like:

  • “Add milk to StorePing”
  • “What's on my StorePing list”
  • “What's expiring in StorePing”

You can also find StorePing actions in the Shortcuts app.

How do Home Screen widgets work?

Long-press your Home Screen → tap + → search StorePing → add a widget. Widgets update when you use the App.

Is my data private?

Most data stays on your device. Optional iCloud sharing uses your Apple account. Read our full policy here: Privacy Policy

How do I delete my data?

  • Delete individual items inside the App
  • Turn off iCloud sharing in the App and/or sign out of iCloud
  • Uninstall StorePing to remove local app data from your device
  • For iCloud data, you may also manage storage in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not DropDollar. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
