Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

MouseMe ("the App") is developed by Ryan Joshua Fermoselle ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

Summary: MouseMe is designed to work on your local network. Your phone sends control commands (mouse movement, clicks, keystrokes, and optional TV remote commands) directly to your Mac on the same Wiโ€‘Fi or via optional Bluetooth. We do not operate a cloud service that receives, stores, or sells your inputs.

Information We Do Not Collect

MouseMe does not:

  • Require an account or sign-in
  • Collect your name, email, or contact details through the App
  • Sell or rent your personal information
  • Use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs to track you across apps or websites
  • Upload your mouse movements, keystrokes, or screen content to our servers

We do not operate servers that receive your control data.

Information Processed on Your Device

The App uses device capabilities only to provide its features. This processing happens on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or other supported device:

  • Local network โ€” MouseMe discovers and connects to your Mac using Bonjour and local TCP on your Wiโ€‘Fi network. Connection details (such as IP address and port) may be stored on your device so you can reconnect easily. This data is not sent to us.
  • Camera โ€” If you choose to scan a QR code on the Connect screen, the camera is used on your device for pairing. Images are not uploaded to us or to third parties.
  • Motion sensors โ€” Air Mouse, Desk Slide, Presenter, and similar modes use motion sensors. Motion data is processed on your device to calculate pointer movement and is sent only to your paired Mac on your local network.
  • Bluetooth โ€” If you enable Bluetooth pairing, control events are sent directly between your devices. We do not receive this data.
  • Mac Accessibility permission โ€” On macOS, MouseMe requires Accessibility permission to move the cursor and send keystrokes. This permission is granted by you in System Settings and is used only for local control on your Mac. We do not access or transmit the contents of other apps through this permission beyond what is needed to inject the input you send from your phone.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App may store preferences locally, such as connection settings, mouse style and sensitivity settings, and optional TV device information you configure. This information stays on your device unless you delete the App or reset your device.

Third Parties

MouseMe does not share your data with third parties for marketing or analytics.

If you use the TV remote feature with a Roku device, commands are sent from your Mac to that device on your local network according to Roku's own policies. We do not control Roku devices or their services.

Children's Privacy

MouseMe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
